Staunch Muay Thai Academy Welcome to Staunch Muay Thai Academy. The aim of the Academy is to make Thai Boxing as accessible as possible for as many people as possible. We make no secret of the fact that we are in essence in a community-based club for the local community but that doesn't stop us from attracting students from not only all over Newham also from all over London. We are a modern, forward, looking Martial Arts club that respects the history, traditions, and Ethics of Muay Thai and the Martial Spirit. We believe that people from all walks of life, both young, old, men, women and children should be able to benefit from the sport whether it be training for keep fit, competition or self defence. Specialize in: Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Self Defence, Weight Loss, Muscle Tonning & Keep Fit Regular Classes, Private Tuition & Small Groups. Learn the ancient art of muay thai kickboxing which was once used to help the thai army defeat the burmese army on the battlefield. Muay Thai is a form of explosive fighting with fist's (punches), shins (kicks, knees, elbows & clinch work. We hold mixed classes for both adults & children in a freindly & relaxed atmosphere.
